A disturbing incident involving Abia Federal House of Representatives member Alex Ikwechegh has surfaced, as a video captured by the victim shows the lawmaker assaulting a delivery driver. In the footage, Mr. Ikwechegh is seen slapping the driver twice and threatening to lock him up in his generator house and make him disappear, claiming that “nothing will happen” as a result.

The altercation reportedly began when the delivery driver, who had been sent to drop off a package, asked Mr. Ikwechegh to come outside to collect the item. Mr. Ikwechegh allegedly found the request disrespectful, expecting the driver to bring the package into his compound located in the affluent Maitama neighborhood of Abuja.

The driver’s refusal to enter the premises escalated the situation into a verbal and physical confrontation.
Despite remaining calm throughout the exchange, the driver became the target of Mr. Ikwechegh’s aggression after he requested to be paid for his services. The lawmaker’s actions quickly turned violent.
At the time of this report, Mr. Ikwechegh has not issued any statement regarding the incident.
