The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a commercial sex worker, Joy Kelvin, for allegedly stabbing her client, Felix Okafor, to death at his residence in Jakande Housing Estate, Lekki. The incident reportedly occurred at around 5:32 a.m. on Monday.
Lagos State Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the case in a statement, explaining that the stabbing occurred during the pair’s time together overnight. “The suspect, identified as Joy Kelvin, allegedly stabbed Okafor during their time together overnight,” Hundeyin said.
Despite being rushed to the General Hospital in Marina, Lagos, Okafor was pronounced dead on arrival. Police received the report at 7:20 a.m., prompting detectives from the Ilasan Division to visit the scene, document the evidence, and initiate an investigation.
“The body of the deceased has been evacuated and deposited at the General Hospital Morgue in Yaba for autopsy,” Hundeyin added. “The suspect is in custody, and efforts are ongoing to notify the victim’s family. A thorough investigation is underway to uncover the full details of the tragic incident.”
